Noteflight and Berklee collaborated on a songwriting contest. We invited anyone over the age of 13 to submit their best melody, lyrics, and chords for a chance to win a lesson with a Berklee faculty member, enrollment in any Berklee Online Songwriting Course, and have their song digitally published by Hal Leonard Corporation. Good luck!
Contest Rules:
Song Instrumentation and Length: The song may be up to 5 minutes long and must include melody, lyrics, and chords. The piano part is optional, and you may also include guitar and/or bass notation, tab, drums, or other instruments. Any profane or explicit lyrics will automatically disqualify the submission.
Copyright: Your song must be original and cannot use any copyrighted material.
Audio Recording: We highly recommend recording a demo using Noteflight Premium’s live audio recording feature!
Due Date: June 30, 2017, by 11:59PM Eastern Time. Winners will be announced by July 31, 2017.
Judging: Winner will be chosen by a committee consisting of Berklee faculty and the Noteflight team.
Prizes: The grand prize winner will have their song digitally published through Hal Leonard and also receive free enrollment in any Berklee Online Songwriting Course!
The top five songs will receive a 30-minute online private lesson with a Berklee songwriting faculty member.
Ownership: The composer retains all copyright and rights ownership to their work. However, by submitting for this competition you agree to allow Noteflight to promote your work as part of this contest.
